Pet of the Week

George

Our Pet of the Week is George, a 2-year-old black coated Weimaraner/Labrador mix who is neutered, current on vaccinations, micro chipped, leash trained, and house trained. George has called WHS his home since the beginning of June and has been participating in the shelter’s Critter Camp Program ever since. Great with children and very playful with other dogs—George will make a wonderful family companion.

George has also accompanied us on numerous outreach events into the community and is always a head turner—he has a gorgeous sheen to his jet black coat and a very unique “look” with his bright golden eyes. Not your average black dog, George is looking for a family with room to run and would do best with someone who likes to go for long walks, hikes, runs, and trips to the lake. George is very playful and easy going and will do just about anything for a tennis ball.

Stop by Woods Humane Society and spend some time getting to know our boy George, you can even come in during the day and watch how well he works with our Critter Campers.
