For 65 years, Woods Humane Society has worked to serve, protect, and shelter homeless companion animals. As a private non-profit organization, our efforts are funded by the generosity of our community.
Together, we have made lasting impacts on the future of thousands of homeless pets’ lives. Your financial support now means the world to countless more. Monetary donations allow us to provide the same level of care to our animals, despite the ever-changing landscape we find ourselves operating within.

The Circle of Compassion is a community of donors who commit to monthly or quarterly gifts to provide for homeless pets at Woods Humane Society.
To join the Circle of Compassion online click here.
Circle of Compassion members are dedicated donors who provide a reliable source of revenue that allows us to plan ahead and care for more homeless animals.
Joining the Circle of Compassion will ensure more of your money goes to our mission by lowering costs, allow you to support homeless animals without a big one-time hit to your wallet, and will reduce the number of mailings you receive from us.
Set up your pledge online, or, if you prefer to make donations using a check or automatically from your bank account, you can download the pledge form and send it to us at 875 Oklahoma Avenue, San Luis Obispo, CA 93405.
You can make changes or stop payment at any time by calling our Development Department (805) 543-9316 x33 or emailing us.
Thanks to the generous support of our community, Woods Humane Society is able to offer free and low-cost year-round humane education opportunities to thousands of local youth, whether in lively canine classroom presentations or in unforgettable on-site events like Critter Camp or the Cat Whisperers reading program. These memorable, hands-on, shelter animal-assisted classes, camps, and volunteer experiences nurture the unique bond between youth and animals; develop awareness and empathy; and empower young people to make a difference in the lives of homeless dogs and cats.
Donate to enrich the lives of our youth with the gift of animal companionship, and to ensure that the future of animal welfare is in good hands."
