Our October winner for the 2023 Pets of the Year Calendar Contest, sponsored by PetMed Urgent Care, is a very special cat named Baby. Read his story below:
"Baby is the sheriff of VCA Arroyo Grande Animal Hospital and makes sure everyone knows it. He came to us in 2013 from a long-time client who needed to re-home him. We took him in and he quickly worked his way into the hearts of our staff and clients. While he loves his lengthy naps in whatever cozy box he can find, he also makes his rounds checking on other pets in the hospital and, most importantly, demands treats from all of us. Baby is well aware that he rules the roost. We do make him work for treats from time to time and we’ve taught him some tricks, which he’ll perform if the mood strikes. And he loves dressing up in costumes and posing for photos. Baby brightens our day and makes everyone happy, and clients look forward to seeing him. It would not be the same here without Baby in our lives. He is the best kitty ever!"
