Happy August from our Calendar Pet of the Month — Blue! 💙

“On June 14th of last year, I found $19 dollars drifting down Osos Street in SLO and I decided to head out to Woods to drop it in the donation box. While I was there, I was lucky enough to meet this sweet girl. It was love at first wave of her ear and first stare into her soulful eyes. Blue was very skittish at first but she started to trust us, and warmed up to her sister Kona Bear. Blue is definitely a ‘velcro baby’, and she loves to snuggle hard!
A tennis ball or a bone are her favorite things, often in her mouth or held between her paws. She also is very goofy, when we take the pups to the beach Blue immediately lays down in the shallows of the ocean. She also enjoys our morning walks down to Monarch Grove and the boardwalk. She always draws smiles and comments about her silly ear, her loooong tongue, and her short legs. She is a mystery, but we are thankful every day that she is our girl. I still can’t believe how $19 led me to her in the most serendipitous way.” - Carolyn Blum
