Shelter Waives Adoption Fees for Felines from November 21-25, 2025
Vying for the cutest Black Friday sale this season, Woods Humane Society announces its Feline Black Friday adoption promotion, which will waive adoption fees for cats and kittens from Friday, November 21 through Tuesday, November 25, 2025.
“We hope this event will increase awareness about cats in need, reduce barriers to adoption, and help our feline friends find their families in advance of the holiday season,” says Woods CEO Emily L’Heureux.
Adoption fees for cats and kittens, which typically range from $65 to $150 at Woods, will be waived for this five-day Feline Black Friday event. Woods says that its shelter locations in Atascadero and San Luis Obispo have a total of 34 cats currently available for adoption, including five kittens, with more felines coming in each day. In order to make necessary shelter repairs and improvements in its North County location over the Thanksgiving holiday, they hope to clear the Cattery and help their current resident felines find loving homes.
The Feline Black Friday promotion will run from Friday, November 21 through Tuesday, November 25, 2025. Woods Humane Society’s Atascadero location will be open from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. and its SLO location will be open from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. for adoptions on a first-come, first-served basis. The San Luis Obispo campus is located at 875 Oklahoma Ave., San Luis Obispo, CA 93405, and the North County campus is located at 2300 Ramona Road, Atascadero, CA 93422.
