As 2025 comes to a close, we’re celebrating with this gorgeous pair — Nova and Munkie.
Read why these two were nominated for our Pet of the Year Calendar Contest!
"Once upon a time, Nova, a terrified and traumatized little black kitten became foster #18 in our home. Within just a few days, she had stolen our hearts, and become our first ‘foster fail’ in August 2023. Nova became a wonderful helper for the foster kittens that followed over the next year - grooming, cuddling, playing with them, and teaching them how to “cat”. When our 27th foster kitten came along, a Snowshoe Siamese with a lifelong medical condition, we knew our home would be his home too. Not only had we fallen in love, so had Nova! Munkie was adopted in March 2024 and since then he and Nova have become inseparably bonded, often found sleeping together, wrapped in each other’s arms. Fostering has brought so much love into our home and brought us our babies in the process. We continue to make room for foster kittens, because it literally saves lives."- Stacey Ritter
