By donating stock you own to Woods before the end of the year, you can receive tremendous tax benefits. You will receive a tax deduction for the current market value of the stock on the date of your gift, and avoid paying any gain if the stock has appreciated since you acquired it. As an example, if you purchased stock for $2,500 and it is now valued at $10,000 you would not be required to pay capital gains on the appreciated value.
Contributions of Real Estate can benefit our organization tremendously while offering you the tax benefit of avoiding capital gains tax on the appreciation in the value of the property.

Would you like to donate your vehicle to help the animals at Woods? You can donate your car, truck, RV, motorcycle, or other vehicles to Woods Humane Society through Mission Cars. Mission Cars is a locally-run program that is part of the nonprofit Son Care Foundation, Inc., which operates New Life K9s and Thousand Hills Pet Resort. 100% of the proceeds from donated vehicles directly benefit Woods and New Life K9s. You can help Woods Humane Society just by buying your groceries! By registering your Ralphs or Food 4 Less card online, Woods Humane Society can receive up to a 4% rebate on all of your monthly grocery purchases! This program does not cost you a penny and will help us continue to provide homeless cats and dogs with the best possible care as they await adoption into loving new homes.
