June Shelter Report

Woods Humane Society closed out the fiscal year with a bang! We performed a whopping 350 adoptions (including 147 kitten adoptions!) to bring us to 3,005 loving homes found in the 25-26 year. Ninety-two of those pets made their match in one day during California Adopt a Pet Day, and several long-term animals, including Spirit, Antonio, Luna, Max, and Gizmo, finally had their big moments. In June, our Medical team performed 530 spay/neuters (for a total of 5,615 this fiscal year) and coordinated foster placements for 236 animals. Our very own Zee inspired a record-breaking Pet Gala, which raised $278,523.94 for the animals in our care. We also launched a foster awareness campaign and appealed to our community for foster and financial support for Lillie the Weimaraner.
