"Max chose us, we didn’t choose him. He began life as a barn cat next door but, while he is a great hunter, he’s also a lover who knows he deserves to sleep on a human’s bed. So, with our neighbors’ blessing, he “adopted” us seven years ago and has been a part of the family ever since. Max has many skills including climbing trees, rolling in the dirt, and demanding his Dad lie down so he can take a nap on his chest. Visitors often say Max acts like a dog. He demands attention, jumping onto laps and joining us for walks. He is the perfect blend of affection, independence, and master of the house. When either of us is out of town, he makes sure the other is taken care of by sleeping by our side. As a volunteer for Woods, I fall in love with many cats yet can’t wait to return home to Max."
