"Tally was part of a litter of puppies born to an abandoned dog from SLO Animal Services. My boys and I were excited to get a dog. As soon as we got there we immediately chose Tally because of her personality.
Despite the initial reluctance of my husband, Tally’s infectious spunk and charm led him to fall head over heels for her, resulting in a bond that has seen her thoroughly spoiled and deeply cherished.
Tally’s favorite activity is fetch, and she approaches it with unmatched fervor. Whether she’s at the beach or in the park, she’s always on the lookout for the perfect stick or toy, often bringing back sticks longer than herself! Tally is a great walking companion and a great snuggler.
In the past few years, Tally has been my steadfast support and constant companion, proving her worthiness as Pet of the Year. Her unconditional love, playful spirit, and comforting presence make her not just a pet, but a true family member deserving of this recognition."
