"The love of my life, my soulmate, my spirit dog. I adopted Dexter from Woods when I came in 'just looking' in 2013. Soon after adopting I started working at Woods so I could be a part of this incredible work. I’m still madly in love with Dex and Woods! Woods helps homeless animals every day and I am so proud to be a part of such a wonderful place. Dexter is a mastiff/cattle dog mix and is a big boy at 105 pounds. Of course, he thinks he is a lap dog. He’s a big sweetheart who usually has a big silly smile on his face. He is now 11.5 years and starting to slow down. Every moment is a blessing with my sweet boy. Even having animals my whole life and loving all animals, the bond I have with Dexter is like no other and I truly adore him. He is the joy of my life. As he got older, and had a hard time getting in cars, I got him a VW van of his own, complete with a personalized license plate, that we hang out in together."
