Woods Humane Society's Mom Spay program supports our mission to spay and neuter local pets and manage the local pet population. It serves pets who have recently given birth and have babies in need of homes.
For pet families accepted into the program, Woods Humane Society will perform a spay surgery for the owned mother dog or cat, who will return home. Additionally, we will waive the surrender fee to admit her babies into our adoption program. The babies will receive their spay/neuter surgeries and all other routine medical care prior to being placed into loving homes.
In order to be considered for this program, babies must be from the same litter and must be no older than 16 weeks of age. Mom dogs and cats must meet the medical requirements of our Spay/Neuter program. Admission to the program is subject to availability of space in our shelters and in our clinics' schedules, and is at the discretion of our intake team.
The fee for animals accepted into our Mom Spay program is $50 for cat families and $100 for dog families.
