We do everything we can at Woods Humane Society to ensure our cats and dogs are as healthy as they can be because it’s the humane thing to do and because we know that happy, healthy pets are much more likely to be adopted quickly. Every animal receives a wellness exam, vaccinations, preventative care for fleas and worms, and a spay or neuter surgery, if needed. Our veterinary team pays special attention to our older cats and dogs, performing dental cleanings and extractions to make sure their mouths are pain-free.
In addition to routine care, we at times encounter unexpected medical problems and injuries that require specialized treatment. Usually our talented staff can do what’s needed but from time to time one of our animals needs to be referred to an outside surgeon. As you know surgical costs can mount up quickly!
With over 3,000 animals entering our adoption program this coming year, our veterinary costs are substantial. Your donation to our Crystal Fund helps Woods Humane Society meet the veterinary needs of our temporary guests so that they are ready to join their forever families.

Meet Nashua, an 8-yr-old miniature poodle, suffered severe peridental disease upon arrival to Woods. Left untreated, he could have potentially lost all his teeth, but thanks to YOU, we were able to help him quickly. He is now loving life with his new home.
